Maehwa, in the Korean language, is plum blossom. It's a delicate word, revealing the unexpected gift of wonder. The collection draws inspiration from a moment of inner calm and wonder lived in a park in Seoul.
From the compositional space created by the leafy branches laden with blossoms, the Maehwa project develops the relationship between nature and abstraction, searching for a compositional balance between the elements and playing with extension and
presence across space.
Along the branches, glass spheres bloom freely. Transparent, translucent, or blushed matched in different soft and natural nuances, from pale pink, smokey grey, and opal white. The light source also evokes the natural touch, with a flexible cable that lights up gently. A free architecture in bloom, where each element interacts effortlessly with all the others.
For the wall version of Maehwa, natural random yet precise order fully expresses itself. The modular brass structure is curved with the most advanced free-form techniques.
